Don't let the color frighten you.Don't let the color frighten you. This very simple, surprisingly tasty breakfast is rich in omega- 3s, protein, B vitamins, and choline. So it is the perfect start to your day.
1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
1/4 cup trail mix
1 tablespoon lecithin granules
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon spirulina
1 tsp or more cinnamon (optional)
Milk, non-dairy milk, water, juice or coconut water
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Pour enough liquid of your choice over dry ingredients so that they are completely submerged. Stir to make sure there are no air pockets. Allow to soak refrigerated over night. In the morning, the cereal should have the consistency of a thick porridge. You can add more liquid if you desire.
